Vacation Bible School - July 23-27, 2018

Venture onto an uncharted island where kids survive and thrive. Anchor kids in the truth that Jesus carries them through life's storms. Grab your friends and prepare yourself for a week of service, music, creative crafts, games, and so much more! Dinner will be provided each night.

Date: July 23-27, 2018
Place: St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church
Time: 5:30pm-8:30pm

Vacation Bible School is open to Pre-K through rising 5th graders. Three year-olds are also welcome with a dedicated caregiver each day. All children must be potty-trained.

Lenten Book Series: Braving the Wilderness

The Lenten Book Series on Wednesdays, Starting February 21st

On Wednesday, February 21, our book study (Brené Brown’s  Braving the Wilderness) will begin. It will include a brief summary of the evening’s reading followed by small group discussion. You will see that we are offering two identical tracks to provide flexible options for families and those coming from work. The schedule is as follows. (Come for any portion of the program if you cannot make the whole thing). 

5:30pm Track 1:  Braving the Wilderness for Adults and Teens (same program as 7:00pm)  

6:30pm Both Tracks:  Simple Supper

Puerto Rico

We always go to help those with the greatest need! St. Matthew's is looking forward to serving the people of Puerto Rico after the devastating hurricane season of 2017. Tentatively scheduled for the week of August 4th, we are working with Praying Pelican Missions, who St. Matthew's has worked with for over a decade on other mission trips such as Haiti and Belize. 

This will be an adult mission trip that will involve a variety of ministries including rebuilding and children and community outreach. Please email David Diegtel at if you have questions or are interested in

SNL Middle School 2018 Mission Trip

We are teaming up with Team Effort again this year to do some mission work, but this time we are road tripping a little closer to home: Virginia Beach! We'll be working on different repair projects in lower income areas that need a little extra love, and would love it if you joined us! Dates: July 1st-7th; Price: $430

SNL High School 2018 Mission Trip

We are headed to New York, New York for urban ministry with CSM (City Service Mission) this summer! We're going to be working with local kids, and a whole variety of community-based ministries around the city. It's going to be an absolutely incredible time of service, fellowship, faith, and fun.
