Snow Day

Snow Update

Due to inclement weather, all services are cancelled for Saturday, February 6 and Sunday, February 7.

We encourage everyone to take advantage of some quality time at home and to hold your own worship time at home.
The Book of Common Prayer is available online at http://www.bcponline.org/.   Morning Prayer begins on page 76.
The Readings for Sunday morning are:

Isaiah 6:1-8, [9-13]
Psalm 138
1 Corinthians 15:1-11
Luke 5:1-11

You may read this week's sermon by clicking here. This week's sermon is loosely based on the reading from Luke. We ask everyone to take time to read the lessons for the day, the sermon and to pray - either using the Book of Common Prayer or prayers from your heart for those who are without shelter during this storm, those who are sick and those who are in need.  May God bless you and keep you safe and warm.

LOL Sunday Nights

Join the new LOL Youth Service Sunday nights - starting Sunday - January 10 at 5:30pm. These services are open to all High Schoolers and any youth who are confirmed in the Episcopal church. We will have dinner, a worship service like the 9:15 service, with some familiar faces in the band, a talk that is relevant to the life of teens, as well as small groups with really cool leaders.

LINK Food Pantry

LINK is a local and all volunteer organization that provides food to families in need. They are always in need of donations, especially jelly, canned chili, spaghetti and sauce, tuna, soup, baked beans, cereal, 1lb bags of rice and any size of diapers.

January is St Mattews' month to deliver the food from LINK to needy families in our area. Please sign up now to take part in this great program.

WatCH (Wednesday night at CHurch)

WatCH will begin again on Wednesday January 13th. A light dinner is followed by our programs. This session will include a traditional Bible study and two 2 week courses in getting out of debt and estate planning.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

February 16th is the date of our annual pancake supper. Ummmm! Let us cook dinner for you, so be sure to come hungry.

What is this? Goodsearch is a faith based search engine that gives back to its members. Go to www.goodsearch.com and select St Matthews as your church. Each time you use the search engine or make a purchase online through this portal they will give a portion back to St Matthews.

The Vision of Saint Matthew's
To live life at its fullest in Christ.

The Mission of Saint Matthew's
To know and share God's love through the following actions:

  • do all in our power, and then some, to foster, nourish, and sustain authentic, living relationships with God in Christ
  • to build a community devoted to becoming one human family in pursuit of God's dream for us
  • to promote personal growth so that, with God's leading, help, and grace, we will more fully realize our God given potential and purpose
  • to embrace the highest standards, as individuals, families, and a church, of love, dedication, honesty, integrity, and service
