Exciting Upcoming Events

Chili and Cornbread Cook-Off

It's time to break out those winning family recipes or pull out that favorite cookbook and take part in the 2012 Chili and Cornbread Cook-Off on Sunday, January 22.  You have the chance to win the title of Saint Matthew's Best Chili and Tastiest Cornbread, as parishioners all taste tantalizing treats and vote for the winner.

Cooks, bring your entry to the kitchen by 10:30 a.m. so we have time to set up. After the 10:30 service, the parish hall will be the scene of some good eating!  Everyone's invited to take part in this festive parish event!

The Mission of Saint Matthew's
To know and share God's love through the following actions:

  • Do all in our power, and then some, to foster, nourish, and sustain authentic, living relationships with God in Christ
  • Build a community devoted to becoming one human family in pursuit of God's dream for us
  • Promote personal growth so that, with God's leading, help, and grace, we will more fully realize our God given potential and purpose
  • Embrace the highest standards, as individuals, families, and a church, of love, dedication, honesty, integrity, and service
